Tyre Pressure

Correct tyre pressure can save fuel

Motorists can significantly reduce their vehicle’s fuel consumption by paying attention to tyre pressure. Twenty per cent of a car’s fuel consumption is swallowed up overcoming rolling resistance, a coefficient of friction that is directly proportional to tyre pressure.

Just by having the right amount of air in the tyres, motorists can save a substantial amount of money. Aside from lowering fuel consumption, it is easy to assume that most motorists are vigilant enough to check tyre pressures due to safety concerns.
